I qualified in 1987 from Trinity College Dublin. I have been in private practice in London, Westmeath and Dublin since then. I love dentistry and in particularly like to build long term relationships with people. My particular interests are gum health and root canal treatments. I am on the committee of the Irish Endodontic Society.
I am about to embark on a 3 year Masters Programme in Orthodontics at Warwick University in September 2010. I have practiced at the Frederick Dental Clinic for 6 years.

I have been operating as a clinician in specialist practice limited to Fixed & Removable Prosthodontics for six years. My practice in limited to prosthodontics- both fixed and removable, Implant Dentistry and conscious sedation.
My training includes a 2 year full time M.Dent Sci programme in Restorative Dentistry in the UK (1998-2000), followed by Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery at The Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. I worked for 2 years as a staff grade in the Implant Faculty at the Leeds Dental Institute, training in both implant surgery and restoration. My Specialist Training took the form of a 3 year full time residency programme (M.Dent Ch) in Prosthodontics at Trinity College Dublin, 2001-2004. I completed an 18-month, part-time Diploma in Conscious Sedation at the Dublin Dental Hospital in December 2009.

Dr. Eoin M. Mullane, Root Canal Specialist
Dr Eoin Mullane recieved his dental degree in 1999 from the University of Manchester and he completed his Endodontic Specialist training at the University of Michigan, USA in June 2008. Dr Eoin Mullane is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and is a prospective candidate for the American Board of Endodontics. The aim of a root canal treatment is to save your tooth from extraction and root canal treatments completed by a root canal specialist are over 90% successful.

I worked and trained as a dental nurse in Tipperary for three years, where I developed a keen interest in dental hygiene. I commenced an intensive 2 year course in dental hygiene in cork dental hospital and UCC,where I qualified with honours in 2002. In 2007 I attended an advanced, hands on, course in the treatment and maintenance of periodontal disease, ran by american hygienist Pat Worchester.

 Donna Paton Dental Hygienists
Donna qualified as a Dental Surgery Assistant and has a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from Dundee Dental Hospital in Scotland. She continues her own professional development to ensure that patients have the most up-to-date information on Oral Hygiene. She has a specific interest in the prevention and treatment of gum disease and provides fissure sealants and fluoride treatment for the prevention of decay and also routine scaling and polishing. Introduction in good Oral Hygiene is given and advice on a healthy diet. Donna can offer local anaesthesia to patients with very sensitive teeth and is particularly kind and understanding with nervous patients. |

I am the practice receptionist and I am your first point of contact here at The Frederick Dental Clinic and will be very happy to help you. I have been a member of The Frederick Dental Clinic team since November 2004. I have been working in the dental industry since November 1997 and completed Certificate in Dental Nursing in 2000. I have completed a number of courses since joining The Frederick Dental Clinic including Practice Management, Ethics, Sales & Communication and Marketing. I am currently Administrator for the Irish Endodontic Society.
